Any recommendations on good O scale shops in the Miami area? Or for that matter Florida in general. In the area for a wedding and have time and car. Thanks, Larry

Ready To Roll Trains is right in Miami. They are probably one of the largest train dealers in Florida, if not the entire Southeast.
Model Train Store | Miami Florida United States | Ready to Roll (readytorolltrains.com)
I have purchased many things from Ready to Roll great people great service. If I was going to be in the area this would be a must stop in.
There’s a shop in Port Orange, Roundhouse South.

Yes, I've ordered online from Roundhouse South. If I was visiting the area, I'd definitely check them out.
Ready to Roll is the place to see and go !!!
The whole staff are super friendly and helpful.
back in the 90's there used to be several in Broward county just north of Miami but no clue if they are still there.
I’m on it. Thanks for the help gents. I’m meeting a bud in Orlando and we’re capable of extraordinary train shop distances.

Ask for Bill at Ready to Roll. Had many fine dealings with them over the years.
You won't regret visiting Ready to Roll. I've spent many an afternoon there hanging out and just running trains on their large O scale layout. Bill, the owner, is always willing to accept reasonable offers and facilitates excellent train maintenance and repairs. Just call and check the hours. A couple of weeks back I drove down on a Sunday to pick up a pre order only to find that the Christmas hours changed and the store had reverted back to closing on Sundays.
I believe Ready to Roll was MTH's largest dealer for many years.
Another vouch for Ready To Roll, large shop, large inventory, friendly staff. Also a little less known is Hollywood Station down further in South Miami, however I think he's mostly doing diecast cars now.
At one time, Ready to Roll was the largest MTH dealer and If Im not mistaken it was the first .

i would agree, rtr is very reputable. dealt with them numerous times
Check Kadee's dealer locator listing.
Why?...
- Kadee products are pretty much a staple for any hobby shop catering to the model railroad market
- Floriduh's geographical and commercial layout tends to follow two main corridors south of their northern border...east (I-95) and west (I-75)
- Both of which converge near the southern-most hobby shop: Ready To Roll, Miami.
- Here's the Kadee Dealer Locator Link
- Enter Miami, FL and a 'radius' of 400 miles, and it will post a nice listing of dealers, mostly along those corridors for your travel planning...or day tours...or whatever.
- Or choose Orlando, FL and the same max. radius and it will grab some FL opportunities in the panhandle as well as southern GA and AL.
And, yes, there are other shops not listed in Kadee's locator. It's a convenient starting point, though, for the OP's question.
IMHO, of course.
And FWIW.
BTW...travelling or being transferred to Nome, Anchorage, or Juneau, Alaska and looking for a dogsled daytrip to the LHS? Try the same link...and be thankful for your own LHS...if you still have one!
My gratitude to you all for your fine replies. Did all the things wifee wanted to do the past day or so. Now It’s my day and she’s all in. So we’re ready to roll to ReadyTo Roll. Then on to Orlando and possibly more insight. Once again thank you.
