Joe, that's the MTH standard for virtually all their stuff. I don't recall seeing any other count.
Update on the SantaFe F. I paced it at three or four different speeds and it exactly matches my SantaFe Dash8. So I'm very happy with that. I can only draw a conclusion that the polarity switch was failing and somehow caused intermittent power supply? Nothing else seemed to make a difference on the slow speed for two years. How it magically ran at speed and then failed, I can only guess. I'll see how long it behaves.
I have always noticed that the MTH G scale engines, need to be broken in when brand new. They are stiff, including the track wipers. I got a narrow nose Dash 8 that seemed to stutter a bit and the lights flickered some. The track wipers were very stiff and not working right. The MTH tech asked me to allow it some run time to break in. After some lube and a few laps, it has performed great ever since.
