Spraying Glue | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

After I put down my first layer of grass I like to spray it with diluted glue so it will set and I can add a coarser grass of a different shade on top. My problem is that after the first fine mist the rest of the glue comes out in a stream and leaves marks on the grass I had previously done. Any suggestions on how to alleviate this problem? I have been using Elmer's white glue diluted 4-1 with a little soap in a Woodland Scenic sprayer.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I always found that warm water worked well at keeping things spraying freely.

Don't use a sprayer. I use plastic applicator bottles with a pointed tip. Also, I apply wet water before using the glue mixture.

Toss the sprayer. I use either the bottle the glue came in (the smaller ones with the nozzle) or this:

$1 at Walmart.
