Having problems with a Lionel Pullmor motor. The motor is in a new engine (old stock) with about 30 minutes of run time and after a couple of minutes running, one of the motors intermittently starts to squeal. Every time the motor squeals, there is a slowing down of the engine. I oiled the squealing motor with no improvement and the motor squeals continuously when pulled from the engine body.
Any thoughts on what the problem is?

Perhaps some penetrating oil to get in where you're not getting with the oil? You are certainly describing the common symptoms of lack of oil.
I'd be tempted to split the case and examine the brushes and commutator as well.
As John wrote, it is almost certainly a lubrication issue, typically at the ends of the armature shaft.
It would help if you told us exactly which engine you have.
I would put a small drop of oil on the armature at the brushplate and a couple of drops on the armature under the windings where the shaft goes in the bushing. If that don't help, you might want to dissassemble the motor. The shaft could possibly have rust from setting for a long period.

The Lionel engine that has the squealing pullmor is a 2008 Jersey Central #2341 FMTM.
I already tried oiling both sides of the motor, but did not pull the motor apart to see if there was any rust after 6 years in the box. I will update this link after I open the motor.

I had a chance to pull the motor and take it apart. Did not see any rust, but saw two ball bearing assemblies which I cleaned out and applied new grease. Works well now with no squealing.
