OGAUGEGUY,  Thank you for your support, the cars are in production at Lionel's North Carolina facility right now.  We anticipate delivery at Riverhead during the latter part of November.  We will ship them from our Riverhead Museum within 48 hours by USPS Priority Mail so you should have your car for the Holidays.

We anticipate delivery of the HO scale "Steam Up! LIRR 39" blue boxcar in time for the Holidays as well.

Thanks for the prompt reply, Don. Since I hadn't been sent an email confirming the LIRR Museum's receipt of my mailed payment, I wasn't certain whether you received it.

Good business OGAUGEGUY.

We do not send any notification upon receipt of collectible car orders.  The volume of orders makes it unrealistic and many of our older club members do not have computers or e-mail addresses.  We depend on your cancelled check, monthly credit card statement and/or PayPal communications to be your assurance that your car order has been received and processed.

I hope this information is helpful to you and to our O Gauge Forum members following this thread.

Again, thank you all for your interest in and support of our Collectible Car Program,
Don

Don, last night someone posted on this forum they'd received this car yesterday. Have all the cars that were ordered been shipped yet? If they have and if, as in the past, they were sent by USPS priority mail, will the buyers be sent notification when to expect delivery of their boxcar? I'm asking because aleready this early in the holiday season the media has reported an upsurge in area thefts of delivered packages so I'd like to know when to expect delivery either to be at home for it's arrival or to notify the post office to hold it there for me to pick it up. Btw, our postmaster says he can hold a customer package only when the customer gives him the tracking number for that package.
