Strange behavior from new WTIU... and a solution.

I recently upgraded from the MTH DCS Explorer, which I use to run Atlas O engines, to the long-awaited WTIU. Been running problem-free until today (FYI, I do not connect to my Home Network, so I have avoided some of the issues involved with that). Today, in the middle of a normal running session,  the App decided to stop my train, in increments of 2 SMP (see video). When I would give it throttle again, it would very methodically stop the train again in 2 SMP steps. I first tried restarting the WTIU, but this had no effect. I then downloaded the firmware update, which I had not done previously. Still no improvement. Finally I did a factory reset to the WTIU from the App, and it worked! Everything back to normal. Of course, this required that I re-add the engine, so it is possible that simply deleting the engine and re-adding it may have worked as well. Has anyone else seen this particular behavior??
