I am about to sign up for a membership and noted this in the agreement. "Your subscription will be renewed automatically each subscription period using this credit card, until you cancel. "

Will I get an email before its auto renewed in 12 months or some type of notification I'm about to be billed again if I dont cancel?

You have complete control over your subscription account. You will get an email well before the expiration date. In that email you'll be able to choose whether to:

Let the auto-renew complete your renewal for you
Cancel your subscription effective at the expiration date
