Good Morning Everyone. I hope you all enjoyed the extra hour sleep today. I want to thank everyone for the nice comments on last weeks showcase. Here are the finished pictures of the NASA control building. Let's see what you have been working on.

Alan, thank you for this post every week.  The Control building is excellent.  I love the way the windows on the upper floor cant outwards.

SIRT, once again "As real as can be" in our little world.

BFISHMA1, you're showing off some great scratch building skills there.  Drums appear a little big though.

Rich, Love the FEED & SEED, kit or did you laser etch it yourself?  I've never seen a real Kroger's before so at first glance I thought maybe the color was a bit drab but then I thought how would I know?  The interior detail is fantastic.

Johan, I saw the black sedan in photos you previously posted and thought it may be on a track, this photo from above it appears that it definitely is.  Is it motorized?  If so how does the mechanism work?  Again you demonstrate how talented you are.

Joe: Thanks. The black sedan is only a "toy", no motorized. The tramway line still waiting electric poles but they come sometimes later.

Thanks Coach for the feedback.  You are correct, the beat down on the drums was a little heavy as they were from a Tamiya accent set in 1:35 scale I detailed awhile back.  Unfortunately they were not the only things a little on the hefty side ... the windows and the upper story billboard also suffered from the same error in scaling.

Below you can see the older window at the top with the frames and trim built in.  Much too bulky and way out of scale.  The lower two are my second and third attempts at more accurate ones that will eventually make their way into the build.

I was working off of old photographs from Shorpy (wonderful reference site btw) and inspiration from Chuck Doan (unreal work) so the upper story billboard ended up being off a bit ... too tall and too wide.  Couldn't do too much about the width but decided to cut about 3-5 scale feet off of the height.  Now I think her hat sits a little bit more comfortably.

As per the wisdom of the forum I spent some time this week reworking a few things and Coach, although I like my cans big I took one for the team
