#SwitcherSaturday is back!!!!
Lots of us out there love switchers (shifters, docksiders, yard goats, etc.), so lets keep #SwitcherSaturday (a.k.a. SWSAT) rolling!
A huge THANK YOU to Silver Lake for keeping this alive for the last two weeks when I was on travel, thank you very much!

Today at the Murnane house we've got my Williams GP30 NYC #6121 on switching duty. This is the "largest" switcher I have and I'm pretty certain GP30's are not 100% switchers, but I love the thing so it's getting some time on my workbench dogbone loop this weekend.
While I was away I spent some time in Long Island with family but my "train time" was limited. I found out there is a new train museum open near my Dad's house (Oyster Bay Railroad Museum) but the hours didn't work out for a visit. I also spotted a couple diesel switchers (Long Island livery) sitting in a yard on Atlantic Avenue in Richmond Hill (Queens), but I was driving and couldn't pull over for pics. If anyone lives in Queens it'd be great if they could snap some pictures of them (assuming they are still just sitting there).
I did stop at Trainland in Long Island, here is a picture of their TrainWorx layout, the thing is fantastic.
I hope everyone enjoys their weekend and if you get a chance, please post some pictures or video of your favorite switchers!
Best...Rich Murnane
p.s. Miss the post on Saturday? NO BIG DEAL, just keep posting pictures of your favorites until the next #SwitcherSaturday
