 It's #SwitcherSaturday time!!!!

Lots of us out there love switchers (shifters, docksiders, yard goats, critters, etc.), so lets keep #SwitcherSaturday (a.k.a. SWSAT) rolling!

If you missed last week's SWSAT you should really go take a look, it was a ton of fun! Thank you to Tom @MNCW for keeping it rolling!

This week at the Murnane house my Angela Thomas Trotta switcher is
in service under the tree. I hope you guys like it! The paint color is hard to describe,
kind of a maroon or cranberry color, not your everyday bright Christmas red, I love the critter!

I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas and Holiday Season! Ho Ho Ho!

If you get a chance - please post some switcher stuff here!

All the best...Rich Murnane

p.s. Miss the post on Saturday? NO BIG DEAL, just keep posting pictures of your favorites until the next #SwitcherSaturday

Yay! SWSat is in the “On” position!

This week I’m just posting a few simple pics of my ETS Czechoslovakian 0-4-0T  with a short train stopped at Bing guard house and Water tower on the under tree loop line.

Here is my other power a Prewar German Karl Bub 0-4-0. I really like its color scheme of gold and red pinstripes on a green body. The wind splitter cab seems a little optimistic for a Switcher but this old guy is a speed demon. The plunger directly behind the stack is the reverser  when you pull it up. It is a lot of fun to run.

Happy Holidays to my SWSat friends and safe travels.

                            a "SwitcherSaturday" tree...

The "SwitcherSaturday" tree is one of the Sugarcreek Model Railroad club's many layouts.   We call it "The Mountain".   The picture was taken in the old Post Office building in downtown Rogers, Arkansas and is part of the Rogers Museum. Which is 2 blocks south of the Daisy BB gun museum, and about 3/4 mile from the Daisy BB Gun office/plant.  The Mountain will be set up at the Club's 2018 show on March 17th at the Embassy Suites in Rogers.

As the club members get older will have down sized from two trailers with layouts to one trailer and sold the large "N" scale and now have a 20" by 40" N scale layout.  Our largest layouts now are a 4ft by 8ft "O" gauge  and 4.5ft by 8ft "HO" scale layout and a "G" gauge that fits in a plastic box track and all.
