Well it is after 8 and the switchers must move so I am tacking my post to last weeks. Let’s get rolling.
First up some MTA Subway switchers in the 207St Yard.
The Yellow thing is a jet powered snow blower it has a while to wait to get used again.
Here is a funny gravity switcher to move luggage at a neighbors Adirondack camp.
The “up” power is a garage door motor.
Last up is my Marx Lima End cab switcher.
Have a great weekend.
Happy SWSat Everyone!
Thanks for getting the switchers moving in the yards today Andy.
Busy day around here so a couple of re-post from the past.
I was walking across my campus yesterday and spotted a MOW team on the LIRR Hempstead branch heading out for a days work. I couldn't get there fast enough to take any photos but first up was a crew truck with rail wheel sets , followed by a Burro crane with a pair of small flat cars loaded with concrete ties. Here are a couple of stock photos.
I did catch this one a few weeks ago.
Hope our friend Dave/Steamer is OK as he was supposed to get us started.
Thanks Andy for exercising your rights as a Switcher Saturday (O scale!) stockholder to get us started.
I found some Baldwin Locomotive stuff to post today...manufacturer of some fine switchers over the years.

A project at work started this week to overhaul on our New Rebuplic switchers. While I am not directly involved, I thought you would appreciate this.
Yep, that’s right. Our switchers have whistles, not just horns. And the crews use them all the time. Being a Reading Railroad fan I don’t prefer the tone, which is best described as a “mournful southern sound,” instead of a northern screamer!!!
sorry guys!! I totally forgot. I've been up the street at our church getting the grass cut. One of our members passed, and there is an after service dinner at noon, and it's threatening rain, so I headed up there early. Thanks to Silver for getting it started.
here's my 1879 moving my Ives collection...including the recently arrived 127 Stock Car
as penance....here's a shot of NKP diesel switcher S4 #52 in Ft Wayne in 1964

Dave,
Glad all is well. As far as further penance, I was thinking more along the lines of accepting those Road Runner keys from you...anything to help you!
Tom
you can have the keys.....but the car is gonna cost ya!
Switcher Saturday goes on!
This model of New York Central Lines 0-4-0 switcher #901 was made by MTH with PS2. I run this engine double-headed with an 0-6-0 switcher. According to my reference “Steam Locomotives of the New York Central Lines,” by W. D. Edson and H. L. Vail, Jr., New York Central Lines Class A 0-4-0 switchers were being procured during the latter years of the 19th Century and early years of the 20th, and larger Class B 0-6-0 switchers were being purchased by the beginning of the 20th Century. It appears that NYC did not purchase 0-4-0 switchers after that time. I can find no listing of an NYC 0-4-0 switcher #901 or a drawing/picture of one which looks like this model. Therefore, I think the model is not prototypical for the New York Central. Perhaps these switchers were too small for any needs of the NYC. I still like the model.

Just got home from a kid's lacrosse tournament, left the house around 5:15AM, so I think I'm going to take a nap and then circle back with a picture or two later tonight or tomorrow!
A quick glance looks like you guys posted lots of good switcher stuff!
Caught this yesterday, a little road switching. This one opens with 9605 climbing the grade out of Manitowoc and then catches it at the speed limit before reaching Valders.

You just gave me a repaint idea for an MTH 44-tonner. What color would you say the 44-tonner (no. 21) is in those three photos? It looks like pale blue over a yellow frame in the digital image. (By the way, the other unit is not a 44-tonner.)

Yes pale blue that has faded. And a little rust for good measure.
