I thought that looked like a Stomper.
Remember they had the foam tires and rubber tires.
Had the Dodge version that was similar to my pickup I own at the time.
Oh good times !!!!!!!!!!!!
I took a bunch of long-term exposures and played around with smoke/steam effects (in real time, using a twist paper towel moved around while the exposure was going) and I think it turned out pretty well. This is some practice for the photos I'll be taking for my upcoming magazine article...
Very effective!
I've posted this elsewhere, but I guess these can go here, too:
Wow, Bill R; that is very impressive!!

Bill is this train studio located in your attic. How large is this layout? Anymore specifics ? Well Done!

That clang you heard off to the west was my jaw hitting the floor. This is what most 3 tail types would think of as heaven!
Running the Southern Pacific H-12-44 with freight consist last Saturday. The freight train passes the Pickering Shay log train stopped at Patterson station.
Having fun with the "work in progress" layout. We run conventional with two MTH Z-4000 transformers and track divided into blocks. There are two levels; this is the lower level. Engines can be turned on the wye. The upper level has the yard for car and caboose storage and a roundhouse, turntable and engine facility. There is also a small sawmill for the logs from the Soap Creek logging area on the lower level.

i added a 3rd floor to my home. the room is just under 700 square feet. the concept was to have the layout as part of living space. i can post a picture of the reverse direction if you like. the layout raps around you so you sit in the middle of it. layout is normal table height so when your sitting you can still see everything, it is also a good height for small children to see.
A new video

I was still recovering from seeing the post last night, only to read this morning "added a third level to the house" and its the Train Palace. I need to win the lottery.
Penny,
The Christmas Tree layout looks great! You have certainly been busy. I like the Nativity in front of the Church! My wife just found a new Church complete with a great Nativity for our Christmas layout. I had to get the outside lights, wreaths, and tree up this weekend. Now I can start on our Christmas layout!
Thank you for posting your photos!
Pennytrains, A little bit of heaven right there. Heaven.

You might not have much yet, but that stonework is one heck of a good start.

Adriatic- the retaining wall and bridge are paper printouts on card stock (cereal boxes from BJ's). The front panel in the first photo lifts off for access in the tunnel. Fun to play around with and VERY CHEAP! Found the graphics on line for free. The roadway bridge ( a work in progress) is the same on foamcore board for structural integrity.
Thanks for the encouragement!
GG1 4877- One word OUCH!
Good luck with the rebuild.

RSJB18,
I think this is one excellent example for this topic of Encourage Others. If you don't have much money, there are creative ways to get super results at low cost!! Looking good!!
My fall project - Mountain with a Tunnel
My goal was to make a lightweight & portable mountain tunnel. It is in 2 pieces (the tunnel base and the mountain). Used printed paper for the stone retaining wall from the internet. The back side of the tunnel is now open, but will be lined with double layers of black construction paper, easy removal for maintenance if necessary. Used Woodland Scenics Shaper Sheet, plaster of paris & sheetrock mud for the mountain. Used Woodland Scenics leopard spotting method to color the mountain and WS grasses, soil, shrubs & trees. Believe it or not the mountain is attached to the tunnel frame by 2 twist ties. It took about 3 weeks to get to where it is now.
