The Huber Breaker is down!

This is the link to a news story by one of the local TV stations. My son Mark took the second video and was interviewed. My other son also took video from my camera which I haven't downloaded yet. This took place on Thursday afternoon while I was manning my post in the Orange Hall. My wife kept calling me with updates.

I grew up close to the Huber, first just down the road in Newtown, then in Hanover Green.  My grandfather was an engineer for the CNJ based out of the Ashley Yards (next to the Huber).  Sad to see one of the last-standing reminders of the northern anthracite coal fields now gone forever.

I feel your pain.  That's how I felt when the breakers in the Mount Carmel (PA) area came down.
