I am glad to say the McKeen Car "Cuyamaca" is back in California for the first time in 92 years, when in 1926 she likely left the Yuma Valley Railroad by way of the Southern Pacific Railroad, possibly thought Calif. She is in rough shape, but she can be restored, and it will take quite a few hands to do that, but she will be restored. With your help through donations and time, she can be restored and running around the country before I'm 30 years old, (I'm 17 now.) Here are a few photos of Sunday's event.
Here I am in the car as we are pulling off the tarp, getting her ready to parade through town.
Here she is passing the Ramona MainStage/Theater, built in the 1940's.
We took about 3 hours unloading her from the trailer, and this shot was taken near the end of the unloading, while we were pulling the trailer out from under her, around 8:20 PM.
Again, I thank everyone who donated and helped get this car to Ramona, California, I couldn't have done it without you.
