Rich,

I resurrected a for-sale listing that was created a few months ago (before the infamous forum software "update"), and noticed a few things when adding new content and trying to make it consistent with the original thread's look-and-feel.

  • Some of the text was created with the underlined attribute, and it still shows up that way.  But I no longer see a button for underlining text in the tool bar.

  • Same issue with text colors.  Text that was created originally still displays as it was created.  However, the new color drop-down box in the tool bar doesn't have the same color pallet.  So I can't create similar color text to the older content -- unless I copy and paste pieces of the original text and then overtype the text content.

I don't want to get involved with HTML tags and such... just like to do it with the WYSISYG toolbars.  Am I missing something?  Or do we just deal with these work-arounds?

Thanks, in advance.

David

RTR12, I found that color pallet... but it's got a different set of colors from those I used when I created the original post.  Again, it's not a big deal... I was just wondering if I missed a full color wheel of sorts that lets folks select their own color choices.  Given all the other issues we went through during the transition to the new forum software, I almost hesitate to even mention these minor things.

Thanks though.

The only way you'd notice the difference in color selections would be if you resurrected an old thread and tried to keep the content consistent.  The new color pallet has more of a contemporary pastel look to it.  Some of the "standard" colors  that were in the former software are missing now.  No big deal though, but many times websites that provide a set of colors also allow users to add their own too.  Not sure if that option exists here... haven't stumbled into it (if it's there).

What I don't like on the new one, and maybe there is something I haven't tried either (trust me, I was thrilled when my first picture  posting after the change  "went", to my surprise) , is that I can't leave a space at the end of a sentence and start a new paragraph, without the beginning of said paragraph trying to return to the last sentence or "follow" it to the next line.  It just NOW, tried to skip a line, except when I went back up and typed "It" on the end of the above line, (ending in the work "line") and it carried over...but I had to begin back up there.
