Can someone coach me a little on the workflow, to incorporate a "quote" from a previous post in the thread? I tried the Blockquote format. The intent was clear enough, but it didn't turn out the way I expected. Thanks!

I am having some difficulty with using quotes since the last upgrade.
Here is what seems to work for me when starting my post with a quote:
1 - Paste the quote at the top of the box.
2 - hit the "enter" key a couple of times
3 - write my response
4 - go back and highlight the quote
5 - use Formats - blocks - blockquote to mark the quote.
It certainly was a lot simpler to just surround the quote with "
" and "
", but you cannot stop progress
I do wish the quoted section would stand out more, as it did before the upgrade.
I just use the "reply with quote" option, then delete everything in the original poster's post, until I'm left with what I desire to answer/respond to from his/her post. Fast and simple.

I do it the way Hot Water does it, works fine. You can even incorporate multiple quotes if you need to.
Block quote looks like this, not nearly enough to distinguish it from the regular text.
This is better.
You can also embellish the block quote with text enhancements to make it stand out.
See the difference between the two quotes?

This option seems to work pretty well (but not where I would have expected to find it)

Ok i think i got it, thanks folks!
One comment about using "Reply with Quote."
Please DO NOT use this method to reply to a post with a bunch of pictures in it, only to add a sentence or two. Just use the big blue Post Reply button to post a normal reply.
Rich, I normally just delete the pictures if I want to quote the text. In any case, in many cases, I remove a lot of the quote and only leave the stuff I'm actually quoting about.
I've seen how you do it, John, and I wish more people would do it the way you do. Either people don't know how to do it, or they just don't want to bother with the extra effort involved to fix the quote.
One of my pet peeves, is when someone using a quotation, replies WITHIN the quotation box below the quotation, making it appear as if their reply is PART of the quote.
Often Hotwater will reply within a quote, BUT he uses a different color font to distinguish between the OP's post and his reply, a very good way (IMHO) to answer a specific, or multiple points, but sometimes people either don't take the effort to use different font colors, or don't understand, to separate their reply from the original post.
