Does anyone have any examples of how they supported the track above when it is the same foot print of the track below. I am working on a plan that has a portion of track that is the same footprint as what's below. Pictures would be helpful.

Here is how I do my multi level layouts. You do not need to be exactly over top of the other track all the times, plan carefully and it all works out.

Gerald,
I will watch for your new layout, I liked the old one very much. I knew you were rebuilding. Hope all is well in your neck of the woods!

I believe Jim Policastro made supports out of MDF that he painted to look like concrete. There should be an old post about that.
Coach Joe
Marx made some track supports that could straddle a track below. You might be able to find them on Ebay. I don't see any listed right now.
The BridgeBoss elevated kits are worth considering, given that the prototype often ran with streetcars below.

Mine were very similar to the ones Gerald made.
As Coach Joe said, they were made from 3/4" MDF and sprayed with one of those "make it stone" paints.

I have two mainlines over the bottom table. The layout is around the outside walls of the attic. The bottom table is wider then the top level. I used shelf brackets for support. Corners had longer ones. One part I had no wall for the brackets so I used 3/4 inch dowel for a post. Hope these pics so what I am talking about...................Paul
