My wife is a Young Living essential oil consultant. So we have an essential oil diffuser practically in every room in the house. My son and daughter-in-law gave this to me for my birthday recently. Kind of art deco looking. Smokes pretty good.

Cool looking.
If you have any pets, there have been reports of some of these oil vapors causing the pets great distress.
You are correct RoyBoy. However, the Young Living oils are all natural and perfectly fine for the fury ones. We use them as needed for our dog. The ones you buy in the store are the ones to be careful of.
I have 14 essential train oil diffusers in my basement. Here's one .
What a great idea for a gift that both you and your wife can appreciate!

Lou, I love the whistle on that GS6
I do have a question: aside from 3 in 1 and 10w 30... what exactly is an “essential” oil? Because essentially, I’ve made it 56 years without ever having heard of it until twice today!

These days, CBD is probably considered an essential oil. I wonder how that would run in a steam engine smoke unit. That'll cure what ails ya, or if not at least you won't care.

We use them in our house. They kill two birds with one stone. They add moisture to a dry environment and most of the scents are very relaxing, relieving stress. We use distilled water in ours.
Essential oils are basically oils that are extracted from natural sources such as trees, plants, fruits, etc. They are a natural way to treat ailments of the body, everything from headaches, anxiety, colds and anything else you can think of. As my wife says, "I have an oil for that".
Essential oils, one of those hobbies, that would compete with model trains for ??? money spent. There is rack/display shelf. The diffuser, a relatively simple vaporizer. You don't want to ask what those small bottles cost. I alway thought I could use the shelf for my model paints.
