So I have been looking for a Pennsyvania Culvert Car for weeks now. I religiously perform internet searches for the item 2 or 3 times a week with only the same old outdated hits poping up over and over again. What tricks of the trade do you folks use to search the "world" for an item? I know the Worlds Greatest Hobby Show is coming to Portland in February but being in a wheelchair makes shopping at crowded shows pointless. The only thing I can ever get close to is other shoppers back ends. Not my idea of a good time or worth the admission cost. That and my "care giver" gets frustrated because there is never enough room to manuver the wheelchair.

ny ideas? I posted on the "WTB" forum but not being able to bump gets your post buried in a hurry! Who and where are those used train on line dealers that you all know about?

Hi
Not sure if you are like to use an E-bay purchase, but if you do, you can set up a search and have that search run every day on your behalf with the results sent to your email address.

It is safe and you only get an email if there is a hit. If you want more on this, you can look up help on their site or ask here and i'll give more detailed info.

good luck

Ralph
For eBay, it is wise for a seller to use as many descriptive words as possible...but for someone searching, the fewer words the better (if you use a word that the sellers rarely use, the item won't show up). Also, have your search include seller descriptions as well as titles.

Looking at "Lionel culvert", there are plenty of NYC ones, but no PRR. EBay is funny...next week there may be 3 of them.
