I was flipping through the channels and watched a few minutes of the Hitchcock self-spoof "Number Seventeen" (or "Number 17").
Occasionally, we have all seen a quick shot in a film, showing a war ship, generally, that cries out "model!" due to the inability to "scale" real waves, spray and exhaust steam in a way that is credible.
In this film, there are buses, trains, ships, ferries, railway ferries, and all sorts of train-related scenes that are obviously animated models. They are done rather well, especially the track work, considering that the film was made long before CGI and other tricks had been invented.
I highly recommend watching it. It is sort of an adult "Thomas the Tank" experience.
