"HONGZ" stands for HO scale, N scale, G scale, and Z scale.

Post your non-O scale stuff here!

Now that we have an HO forum here I might be able to get an answer to a question that has been bedeviling me for about 6 months. I've been looking for 3 sets of Tycos #106 HO Flood Lights for my ski scene on my layout (3 rail O). They seem to show up on Ebay with some regularity but they seem to go for crazy money. Are they really that popular? I don't think they're scarce since I remember them being everywhere back in the day or are they one of those gotta have items people snatch up when they see them?

Three of the 106 towers are on Ebay right now still in original packing and at a buy it now price that in my opinion is not out of line. Even though at the time they were very common when I was a kid, today very good examples are not always plentiful. I had one of those two light towers in the 1960's and I thought they were cool.

How well I remember "yard lights" as a kid in Kansas City!  All the significant yards had them: Frisco, Santa Fe, UP, Rock Island, Wabash, CB&Q, KCS/MILW, et al.

I have been completely forgetting about yard lights for my upcoming "KC Lines" Kansas City-based switching layout.

Hm.  Jerry, let me know when you've bought your fill of those Tyco yard lights... then I may purchase one for a "look see".
