Since the Ratlas Streetcar (and, indeed RailKing bump and go trolleys in general) have somewhat low slung bumpers, my traditional Korber bumpers, being high up, tend to snag rather than bump.  So, while casting about for a replacement, I came across a couple of internally-melted Marx bumpers slated for scrapping.   An Idea occurred to me... 😈

Here's the first bumper completed and checked against the Ratlas.  Perfect fit!  The Marx shell was gutted and fitted with a Lionel dome lens, then bolted to the Fastrack roadbed.   Note that the end of the Fastrack section has been trimmed flat using a cutting wheel,  and the sides of the bumper shell trimmed to bring the shell down to rail level. The end of the bumper shell extends down over the section end...

...and bolted into place.   Also note the underside wiring, connected to track power.

The screw base (salvaged from the Marx bumper) is held in place to the third rail with insulated bushings normally used to insulate the terminals of Lionel signals.

To prevent future meltdowns,  12v LED bulbs will be tested this weekend at the train show.

The finished product, lighted and working!
