Unusual Williams Brass/Anodized Passenger Set

I cannot help you with your questions, but it looks like the basic chassis (drivers,lead truck,valve gear) is similar (if not the same) as on the early 4-6-2 Pacific...(?). Nice models... 🙂

You're right on the mark with the locomotive.

If I'm not mistaken this unpainted Dreyfuss Hudson, from the early brass series, is Williams Product No. 4001B, or 4001-B.  The painted version  seen farther down in your photos is Product No. 4001, i.e. without the '-B'.

Your 5405 (Product No. 4000) is also available in unpainted brass (I believe as Product No. 4000B or 4000-B).  It seems to be rarer than the similarly unpainted Dreyfuss although I've seen at least one of them for sale on the big 'E' since the beginning of this year.
