AMAZING!  Haven't any of the most recent posters to this thread, read the whole thread? The original poster is WRONG!  The UP is NOT painting out/over their heritage units! They are simply RE-PAINTING the existing units, since they are looking shabby after some 10 years of service.

In close to 25 years of participating in various types of internet forums, I have come to realize that reading the whole thread, not to mention comprehending it, is an uncommon thing.

Well I read the entire thread and I am happy the original story proved to be false. I really like the heritage units but I don't get anywhere near as excited over them as the guy in the video did. The only heritage unit I have ever seen in real life is the Erie-Lackawanna unit. Yes, I know that is NS and not UP. Living on the east coast I don't see a lot of UP equipment.
