I don't know how many people here are from Central Texas, but I've noticed a short (but quickly growing) second track has appeared on the UP line between Round Rock and Hutto. This, plus some work being done on a bridge in Hutto, piles of ballast frequently spaced alongside the current track, and a few rather wide, roughly graded areas of ballast between Hutto and Taylor, has led me to wonder if the stretch between Round Rock and Taylor is going to be double tracked? I can't seem to find any information online suggesting an expansion project like this going on in this area.
