I did see something this weekend.  UP is running unit tank car trains from Harwood siding to Houston, via the Glidden Sub, using regular tank cars.  (No Tank-Train.)  There is a loading facility at Harwood for the  fractued oil from the Eagle Ford formation.  This is the first time I have heard/seen of this.

I believe it was at a meeting I attended in San Antonio in late February, that it was mentioned that the company that was going to build the Keystone pipeline has the permitting and right of way to start the southern portion of the pipeline from Kansas to the Gulf.  Their thinking is to go ahead and get this part done and continue to work with Nebraska on an alternate route through that state that avoids the environmentally sensitive areas.
