Vision GG1 only starts up in Conventional Mode

Sounds like an antenna issue.  I believe the hatch that covers the controls is the antenna, so make sure it's not now contacting the shell, that would kill the TMCC signal reception and cause what you see.

I thought the entire shell was the antenna.  There should be isolating washers between the shell and frame.  I could be wrong but from what I remember from previous posts I thought that was the case.

Maybe so Marty, in that case there's lots of places for it to short.   A simple ohmmeter test will tell you if it's shorted.  I looked in the User's manual, but they don't mention the antenna at all.

The entire shell **is** the antenna.  Look for where the shell and chassis frame meet.  The shell may have shifted on the frame and now be in contact with the shell.

Never been a fan of the entire shell antenna, but works well.

wonder when the parts are going to be available for the vision gg1? Mine came without a hose detail on the pilot and I didn’t want to ship it for just that
