Hello All,

I usually post about 3 Rail O Gauge topics, but I had the privilege of being able to stop over in Nagoya, Japan at their Japan Rail and Bullet Train museum last Saturday on my way from Guam back to the US. It is a first class museum with a great outreach to all age groups.  The museum was packed with kids! I shot a short video of a movie depicting the history of the the Bullet Train and Maglev.  No tripods were allowed in the museum. My apologies in advance for the quality of the video.

Regards,

Frank

I honestly am sad that most of the older series were retired in 2012.  Even today, they look modern.  The diversity is one of the main reasons that the Shinkansen is my most favorite high speed railway system.  To date, 15 different production series have been built!  By comparison, I can only find seven or eight for the TGV.
