Great pictures!
John S - very cool! Lighted pool no less!
Thanks TMack, it's as much fun as you can have in 4x8. I even run more than one train on the same loop by using the ALL ENGINES button on the DCS and watching them zip around full speed chasing each other's tail. Most people wouldn't understand how someone can continue being amused by blowing 4 horns full-blast simultaneously over and over, but it's just FUN! Let's see if I can capture the WHOLE THING (Left side - Right side)

I can! No mater the size of the layout if the whole scene is interesting the trains are almost secondary. Very nice.
Speaking of small spaces when you don't have room make it! My new tinplate race car set.
Either posting pictures is much easier or I have acquired new computer skills, which I doubt so i thought it was time to post, after all i look forward to this topic every week often searching on Thursday because some time Scott starts things off early ..
Now my lay out is far from being par with much of anything I have seen in this forum but as it is mine and i am happy with it I guess that is all that really matters
I was trying to choose one or two photos to post that did not make it look too sad an affair then i thought why not post several and make it joke like after all if any one is going to laugh at the layout might as well make it worth laughing at
So I figured a ggod title would be
- From here to here in Seven Easy Steps -
knowing that most of you would understand

Hope you don't mind if I tried some of that Panorama Maker 4 magic on yer pics:
Got stuck at a grade crossing yesterday and these came creeping past.. Sorry for the crappy pix -- my Blackberry stinks.
What is up with the iPhone app? The pics do not seem to be with the text. Last night I was on the app and suggested that some might not be embedding the pics with the text. I checked with my computer this morning and found the pics were embedded and enlarged but not showing properly on the iPhone app....showing only the attached pics and leaving lots of space where the pics were supposed to be. Sorry to all for thinking many were not checking the right box. Please fix the app if it makes sense. It could be a matter of letting you be selective about how you spend your data dollars instead of assuming you want all pics enlarged.
In the iPhone app it appears that you must take the pic/video in the app in order to post it. Is this correct or am I missing something?
Is there tutorial about the iPhone app that I have not found yet?
So many new faces here - GREAT! Good photos too.
I think I saw someone else mention this but didn't see and explanation: Is it my monitor or are most photos compressed horizontally?

It's a combination of the forum software and browser, as far as I can tell. All the pics are squashed to the same width (at least in IE...I use Chrome at home and didn't notice). If you click on the thumbnails below the post, the pic will come up by itself at its intended height/width ratio.

I am using Fire fox and everything is coming up find. No distortion of pictures and when you enlarge the largest picture it doubles it size.
Here's a fairly unusual pic. of FerroMex and U.P. locs "lashed-up" very near the U.P. Yard in Downtown Los Angeles. The locs are crossing I-5 just east of the city. The picture was taken during a blimp flight on 2 February 2012. The second picture is over Hollywood.
Here we go. I tried this from my Iphone and Ipad with no luck so Ihad to wait until I got my computer. I thought this was going to be easy. A view of the layout i've been working on lately.
Thank for lookin and more to come!
Some pictures of my new layout in progress. The layout was 80% done. But then we redid the upstairs. However, I gained more real estate, new blue ceiling paint vs. pink and a new pergo floor vs. magenta carpet.
Turn around on one end. Outside track will tunnel into the wall into the closet and make
its way behind the bed to rejoin layout at the other turn around.
Old layout had 0-48 and 0-36 turns.
The outside mainline is 0-72 and the inside is 0-60,0-48 and 0-36.
This is the 19ft long main layout space. Will have a yard and Carnival area.
Picked up this Lionel Legacy loco for $250 (new) from CharlesRo at the Springfield Show.
My wife asked "Do you think that you have enough track?" I still need more switches.
The other end where the mainline from behind the bed will rejoin the layout. This area will either be a smal Lemax city or North Station Boston.
The theme continues… with the LCCA's 2009 "Triple Play". Now I just have to decide where they will be placed.
The pictures are all great this week. Thank you everyone.

Interesting juxtaposition of hobbies!
Thanks!
Does the keyboard operate all the little diesel horns?
LOL! No, I putting up train shelves and I happened to stage locomotives on an Hammond M100 Organ which is long gone.Thought it was a neat photo. I do have my Hammond C3 and Leslie 122 in my music room.
