a here's a video of Scott's very fine K-line Hudson and matching cars!
Here is a more recent project from the club's resident scratch builder. The is a wood vinegar tank car. Wood was used as it is more resistant to the acid in vinegar than steel. For the model, the tank is wood, and except for the trucks and couplers, everything else is plastic. Only the trucks and couplers are not scratch built. This would be a great addition to my NYO&W freight train!

A 2016 Christmas Layout memory
A little bit of a different view of Easterville than I've been posting of it so far.

My newest find. An e-bay CP snow plow to go with my "Canadian town". The idea was anchored by the operating "Maiden Rescue" and expanded into a small village. We lived in Buffalo,NY for many years and "Loved" Canada. I am still disappointed when we don't sing the "second verse - O Canada" of our national anthem at sporting events in southern PA!! (All the events along the border in both the US and Canada would sing both National anthems.)
A little work on the layout this week.

Some questions for you Patrick..........
What brand of dockside is that? It seems to be your favorite.
And what brand are the trailers we see?
Thanks,
Lou N
Great pics this week!!
The Lackawanna Hudson was having issues pulling the troublesome trucks....
But, after a brief inspection everything was all better!
Love these shots, the Lionchief Lackawanna Hudson and Lionchief New York Central Mikado heading around the bend.
And of coarse we worked on the layout a little.....

Sent this photo that I found on my phone from last year to a friend. Thought it might be a good one to post on this week's edition of "Weekend Photo Fun." It's a street level view of the town of Duncannon, PA circa 1940's.

Lou - the dockside is an MTH that I weathered. The short trailers ( Fruhauf sp? ) .... Union Pacific, Pennsy, and NYC, are all Lionel. The longer 35 foot ( B&O ) trailers are all Weavers.

Click on the picture at the bottom of the post under attachments and you will see it . Think you will like it. I sure did.
The QA&P never had a 50' express boxcar, but if they did it would probably look similar to this Pecos River Brass DD boxcar. It takes a steady hand, good eyesight, and patience to put these kits together...I struggle with all three.
I feel like I goofed on the decal work. If I ever build another one I won't put decal work behind the side ladders.

Sorry it's not that clear, but if you zoom in on the photo you will see one of the observation domes from the original California Zephyr. Taking a quick pic from a moving train with tinted glass at a long distance doesn't make for the best quality!
Making more headway on my PW-style layout. Masking off the area running under track on the lover level before painting.
Picked up a couple more accessories for the layout. Amazing what good shape these are in. Almost like they just came out of the box.
455 Oil Derrick in place
Saw Mill on the upper level.
Just repaired this Lionel Legacy ten wheeler for someone. This is such a fantastic engine, might have to add one to my roster
The sole Lionel power on my railroad, the iconic New York Central S2. All other locomotives on my roster are Rail King with PS2 & PS3.
Long Island Rail Road 4-6-0 Camelback B&M's Flying Yankee laying over in Sunnyside Yard Hobo camp with sleeping quarters in a derelict boxcar N&W power and the New York Central's Commodore visiting Long Island
Brute New York Central power, a USRA 2-8-8-2 rattling the buildings as it runs through town with a freight drag.
The famous Nickle Plate Berkshire No. 765 waiting for clearance out of Sunnyside Yard to pickup a tourist train for a run along the North Fork.
A New York, Ontario & Western Mountain rumbles into town and gets a flag stop to pickup orders. The Reading's Crusader pulls into town. The Crescent Limited departs New York City bound for southern cities.
Bumper-to-bumper trolley cars at the station waiting for a rush hour Long Island Rail Road commuter train to arrive from the city.
My newest and favorite locomotive.

That could be "Silver Solarium", but I can't tell for sure.
