Over at the Model Railroad Hobbyist forum, blogger "Gogebic" posted his latest video of his modeling efforts of the Gogebic range during the 1950s in the Hurley WI to Wakefield MI area. This is some of the finest modeling I've ever seen. His latest video focuses on the iron ore mines he has scratchbuilt, and views of the industry sidings in Ironwood.
Here is his blog with outstanding photos:

For those who have not looked into Model Railroad Hobbyist, they still have a free monthly magazine, and if you register, they have archived copies back to 2010 when they started. A great resource that costs you absolutely nothing.

Awesome video Jerry!!!!
In Britain in the 1890s there was a Railway race to the North from London to Scotland. The competing locomotives were amongst others the Precedent class from the LNWR (London and North Western Railway) and the Stirling Single from the GNR (Great Northern Railway). I re-enacted this race in gauge 1 this afternoon with two ASTER live steam models:
Of course there was not a winner!

Excellent video. Thanks for posting. What did he use for lighting?
It looks like a bright sunny day.

Hi Jim:
Here is what I found on his blog:
"I just finished installing new LED lighting, and now am getting back to working on the Peterson. I narrowly avoided catastrophe when my tipple fell 4' to the concrete floor while I was working on the lights! Luckily it resulted in only minor damage. Since this model is based on the prototype, it gives testament to how well the original was constructed."
Here is the link to the page with the information.
