I have a PS 3 engine that's been giving me fits. It's very happy on one track - but won't work on another whether I'm using DCS or direct transformer control. My other Proto 2 and Proto 3 engines and motorized units display no such resistance to this track (signal strength: 9/10). I'm not sure bringing this unit (CSX GP40) to my not-so-local MTH Dealer will solve the issue if he can't replicate the problem.

Has to be something. Some engines are quicker than others, to find any issues.

Have you tested each truck for power pickup?
MTH Premier 20-20996 (engine 8356). GarGraves track. Nothing different from my "inner" loop. All other Proto 2.0 and 3.0 engines (I have all of 3 plus subway sets) work fine.
Update: I was able to run this engine in conventional mode using the transformer. Will try DCS again and advise. Thanks for responding.

When you say it won't run with DCS, do you mean the remote or app can't find it? or, it won't move?
Are you pressing read if it's on a different channel of the TIU?
