Mike, I’m glad to hear from you, but sorry you have the flu so bad!!  Rest and get well!

John R, that is a bummer about the Santa Fe engine!

Andy, the streets and walls look great.  I always like lots of grade variations!

Chris, the walls look great!

Jim, Yes a big difference being a kid mopping, sweeping, and mowing and an adult with all the seemingly unrelated tasks and hassles they give you!

Mark for sure!

Mike I can send you that stuff I have sitting here for you!  That may make you feel better!   Drink drink drink.  And they should have given you Theraflu !

Jim

Welcome back Mike- hope you are feeling better soon. Got my flu shot back in November. I'm a firm believer in that one every year.

Chris, Andy, great work.

John- looks like you have lot's of luck with Lionel....all bad of course.

Elliot $5K WOW Obviously your empire takes some serious cash to keep afloat. More power and rolling stock never hurts.

Great funnies Brian!

Just want you all to know I'm doing my best to keep up.....

Hi guys, I was going to comment on all the work being done here, but I have run out of energy just reading all the great post! Sure has been a lot of great work going on!

As for me I spent 4 hours at the ER last night for them to confirm that yes I do have the flu, and there really isn't anything they can do for me. Was told to just ride it out! Its kicking my butt!

Hope you are all well, and Brian take it easy with your back.

thanks Mike,  you get better too, soon !!  miss your posts...

Last night, I camouflaged an HO scale turnout I have been meaning to hide for a very long time. They don't make curved turnouts in On30, so I had to use an HO scale one.

I also changed a foot path, which never looked right to me, starting over with scraping down to the plywood. Before, the dirt had been placed over top of ground foam and it never looked correct.

CBS Railroad has just finished the rebuild of Santa Fe Dash 9 Number 650.  The locomotive was purchased from Caruso's Railroad Supply of NJ and The CBS shop crew updated the locomotives engine controls with electronics from ERR by 3rd Rail.  The CBS Railroad would like to thank Royz Trains the service representative for ERR controls.

I spent the evening watching Ryan from Lionel speak with Ken from TrainWorld going over the new catalog!  Very interesting and informative FB live episode! Sounds like the stuff I want wont be available until late fall.  Hope yall watched that!

I need to get a coaling tower, the Lionel coaling tower looks nice.  Andy of  you have ideas on which one to get?   Dont seem to be a lot of them out there?

Jim

Folks, I'm embarrassed by the simplicity of what I do, compared to the complexity of what most of you do.

I finished constructing My Underwater Kingdom (MUK). I didn't like the Treasure Island dockyard, so I sold it to Bruce Wayne. He is using it to store his used Batmobile collection.

And the 1949 Mercury Custom? In an old black and white movie serial, Bruce Wayne drove it by day with the top down, and Batman drove it by night with the top up.SUNP0006SUNP0011SUNP0005SUNP0009SUNP0009 [2)1949-Batman-and-Robin-Serial-1949-Mercury-Eight-Convertible-9CM-76-Batmobile

Good morning everyone, thank you for the get well wishes! Just a little insight, I did get a flu shot this year and have bee for the past 10 years, guess the flu didn't see the sign the I had the shot. As for the Thermaflu I had 2 different Doctors tell me all it would do is take a lot more money out of my pocket for little or no effect on my flu!

I will check back in later, today makes it 5 days of no train room action!

Well, I haven't even been downstairs yet today, but I just spent a lot of money on trains. I called Charlie Ro and placed my pre-order for the new Lionel catalog. Four more engines, the oil train, a bunch of tank car 3 packs, some hoppers, and the UP excursion set expansion 2 pack. List was over 5K. Pre-order knocks that down quite a bit.

My wife came into the train room and stopped, she believes the room is now full.

Sorry you have the flu, Mike, but glad it's just the flu. Hot lemonade with honey settles the stomach and soothes the throat. Add Jameson's and it soothes the soul.

It seems back injuries are epidemic with many guys I know, including some brothers on this forum. I have felt your pain brothers. It doesn't last forever.

so true, just a lot of trading

Mike, hope you get over the flu quick. Wife and I had something like that at Christmas. Lasted over two weeks.

Well today so far I got the table frame, the cross braces and the bridge shoes painted. Once the shoes are dry I can make sure my measurments are right for the bridge abutments and I can then start cutting out the pieces. Pics...........Paul

Thanks Paul, the wife and I are both battling it! Man dose it suck! Your bench work is looking great, when do you think you will make the big cut for the gorge ?

I might have to run down to the store and pick us up some Jameson's and honey! LOL Heard that's what we need!

Mike;

So glad to hear you and your wife are on the mend. Hopefully you’ll be back in the train room soon. If you lived a lot closer, I’d offer you something from my medicine cabinet...
