I'm just getting into G scale. I'm wondering what diesel models USA Trains has produced for the G Scale market 🤔? Are some diesel models limited runs?
"HONGZ" stands for HO scale, N scale, G scale, and Z scale.
Post your non-O scale stuff here!

F3's Alco PA. PB S-4 Sd-40 GP-9 GP-38 SD-70 BTW, I have 20 USA trains intermodal twin stacks for sale if interested. 20 of these look amazing behind a SD-70.

I am also into G Scale. Since LGB closed and then reopened under Marklin the supply has dwindled. your best bet is the secondary market, eBay and alike.
Excellent choice PRR. Just be aware that there are several different 'scales' within G scale. USA Trains is 1:29, MTH One Gauge is 1:32 and Aristocraft, LGB, Pola and others can be 1:24 or 1:22. MTH chose 1:32 because the distance between the rails in G gauge is prototypical for 1:32 American Prototype trains. Most of the G gauge track looks like Narrow Gauge track. Personally, I like American prototype trains like what Charles Ro and MTH produce and to me the common G gauge track looks odd. I found some years ago that Gargraves made some beautiful almost scale G gauge track that used their common components that seems to visually fit quite well with the American trains.
Many of the USA Trains have gone out of production but moat are available aftermarket. I have a beautiful new pair of the Santa Fe Alco PA's that I would consider selling if interested.
Here is their Hudson that is a masterpiece on a section of Gargraves track
Good information but note that Aristocraft and "new LGB" are 1:29 scale as well.
Unlike O guage, each G scale mfg's knuckle couplers DONT MIX VERY WELL with each other.

Well LGB/Aristocraft you can say is modeling two types of scales..the 1:22.5 for narrow guage and 1:29 for the American prototypes so you are not totally wrong.
"New LGB" doesn't mean much, as usually their products don't actually list the scale on the box. But I have read their American prototype standard-gauge stuff is usually nominally 1:26 scale.
Hello all,
I know this is an older thread. But I have just taken an interest into G Gauge. Is there a consensus on what scale Piko is going with? Their offerings in the last few years of catalogs looks amazing.
