i just purchased a Lionel Legacy command set and I want to set it up so I can also run my MTH engines in conventional mode. After watching some of the Lionel instructional videos I think I am going to need a Powermaster and a Bridge or can I just get away with the powermaster and will the lionel handheld remote operate the MTH couplers?

Thanks

Get a TPC 300 or 400. the powermaster needs a bridge and does not work really well with the MTH conventional commands.

No, the TPC is just a controller, you still have to feed it the AC from a transformer.

So if I buy the TPC 300 I do not need the bridge, also will this operate proto 1 and proto 2 engines in conventional mode? Sorry for all the questions but i am new to this. Thanks for your help
