What does it mean when someone likes a post? Does that mean they are following it?

It's a quick way to say they agree with what you are posting or find the post or thread interesting. They "like" it.

For me, when I "like" a post, or response to a post, it because it gives me a good or warm feeling. Sure, that's probably corny, but it's why I like some written response, or some creation (picture or video) posted on the forum.
