Every single Steam Engine is beautiful in its own way..
Every single Diesel Engine is also beautiful....

No doubt those Alco's FA's PA's FPA's were sharp.
I..umm well..am I going to get flamed for loving the opposite slants instead?
On my layout we keep in simple.
The Lionel Scale Hudson is the best looking loco to me and I own two.
The F3's, F7's and E series engines also look good. Again they are scale or close.
The Fairbanks Morse is also scale as are the Geeps.
Those are the main runners. The Little Joes, GG1's, Rectifiers, 44 ton, RDC"s, Berks and non scale Hudsons do get used but not very often.
Wow, so many beautiful trains shown here.
One of my alltime favorites, I don't think it's been done in O scale:
I have to say that after the E and F units I love the SD40-2's also.
WOW....I guess beauty truly is in the eye of the beholder !
PRRMike, I know I'm being a bit offtopic in this thread but I recall at least one or two classic stories where the engineer/fireman called the nicer engines with elesco feedwater an "a lady with bouffant" and you know what, I think they got a point as theres the line on top of boiler then the feedwater heater sitting above that line
And that Vermont T-3 used coal fired Vanderbilt tenders! Just needs those pumps on
the left side moved to the smokebox. Gee, another road I did not know used this
configuration.

No, since the rear pump is actually the Elesco Feedwater Pump, and part of the whole feed water system.
Always has: Probably always will be: the Milwaukee Road Class A, streamlined Atlantic as in my thumbnail, me holding a Weaver Model of that engine. All others pale when compared to this sleek beauty!

Here are some of mine:
Tried to find one of CNR 6060 in color but no luck

The EMD SD70MAC

Speaking of the above..Most of the Turbines, in one form or another, were pretty good looking machines. Just leave out the Blue Goose Westinghouse and the C&O M1...IMHO !
How about this gal? What say you, Mr. Wheelihan?
