Where did this motor come from??? | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

I've had this motor for 20+ years and see it whenever I go through my PW stuff each Christmas. I usually try to remember where I got it since I have nothing that is missing a motor. I give up after a few moments.

This year, I did't immediately put it back in the box. This year I put some electricity to it and it ran briskly and loudly for perhaps 10 seconds and I shut it down. So, I've taken some photos and hope to find out what this motor is:

In the very back recesses of my mind I think this may be a motor for a Post- or Pre- war 313 Bascule Bridge as I had both 40 years ago and had them rebuilt by a TCA member before ultimately selling both 20+ years ago.

So, does anyone know what this motor goes to, if anything?

You are correct - it is a Lionel 313M-1 motor assembly.

Compare yours to the just trains listing:
