Good Evening,

Just as I headlined the title with, I am trying to find the recent Legacy 4-8-4's.

I have been searching via the Advanced Search option to try and find the previous threads about the heavily discounted Locos, and I am coming up dry.  Can anyone provide guidance on where one could still purchase the ATSF 37XX Class for the discounted prices?  I was gone for most of the Winter doing training at Ft. Benning, and thus I was unable to capitalize on the sales that occurred throughout the winter.

Also, are any dealers still taking orders for the N&W Pocohontas?

Any and all suggestions/ input is very much appreciated.

Thank you for your time.

Lee,

I have done the Google searching thing.  All I am finding are dealers that are charging MSRP or more.

Yeah - this is one loco where you probably won't find blow out prices.  Maybe a little discount at best.  If I could find a blowout price, I'd have bought buy a third.  I think they are just that good.

with or without Lionel before the numbers.

Um ok thanks.  I already have the Lionel #'s, so how exactly does telling me to do a google search help me, in answering my question?

you stated this "Any and all suggestions/ input is very much appreciated."

One thing to be aware of is that some of the hits you get/prices you see when you Google will not be available: the serach engine somehow returns "old stuff." A week or so ago I was seraching to buy another of this loco if I could find it below $900, and had several hits in the $800-$900 range come up - but when I tried to order online or called, I was told no longer available.  The best price I could actually find, verified by phone, was only about $180 off list price

Al and Libby run a first-class operation at SideTrack Hobbies.  Whenever I order in-stock items from them, the items arrive the next day (MD to PA).  No exceptions.

I purchased both #3751 and #3759 from SideTrack Hobbies at these great prices, and I just got 3751 a few weeks ago.  So they must have grabbed a few of them from Lionel at the lower internal cost price to still be offering them for $799.  Great locomotives... and I was surprised they still had them!!!

David
