Where to pre-order from and is it too late for the 2012 catalog?

I like www.thetrainshop.com. No deposit required and a discount. You can still preorder 2012 stuff through them. Was going to use Sidetrack Hobbies but was informed here they now require a deposit

JRJunction trains (Wurlitzer here on the forum) in Schenectady Syracuse NY is great.

Charles at The Train Room, Hagerstown MD, is too.

Pat Scaglione at Fish 'n Train on Staten Island also.

Charlie at Trains R Fun, in PA, is another.

On the west coast Western Depot in CA is super.

None have asked for a deposit when I have ordered in the past, don't know current policies, things are getting harder for everyone.  All have treated me very well, great guys, helpful, bend over backwards to please.  All take orders by internet, email, or phone, and all ship.  I'm in northern new england where there is nobody, so I've had to rely on dealers like this.  Had one or two that didn't work out, who I won't mention.  I stick with the ones who are really helpful consistently.

I'm sure there are many more dealers who are terrific.

Can't imagine it's too late to order from 2012 catalog, we won't be seeing any of it for a year or two as it is.

 

It's not too late to order, but the "pre-ordering pricing" deadline has passed. However, shop around and you may still find decent prices.

 

Another good LCT dealer (no deposit required)  is Ready To Roll Trains out of Miami. 

I buy from Grzyboski'si trains in Moosic PA. They are my local dealer. They sell quite a bit on the Internet and shows also. They are a top ten Lionel dealer. I never have to pre order with them. They sell enough that they get plenty of all new items in with all road names. It makes it nice because I can physically see any of the new items before buying them. I used to get nervous that new items may sell out before I got there but it has never happened. They are also great to deal with and very knowledgeable. I'm lucky having them less than a half hour away. There prices are awesome also. They have specials which are super priced.

Now, you guys are saying these are dealers that you order tinplate from? I order my o gauge non-tinplate stuff from Sean Marchev, but i don't think he really deals with standard gauge

Schenectady is home to General Electric, original ALCo plant and the Proctors Theatre, that features "Goldie", a Wurlitzer theatre pipe organ.  Schenectady is a nice city!
