Does anyone know someone or a business the converts mth dcs engines to dcc?

I'm thinking of using the lok sound 4.0 board for sd70ace. I'd be taking out a ps2 board. I'm a bit afraid to chop up a $400 engine.
I've been to his shop in York, PA. Nice guy. Just starting out in the business but apparently DCC is his main gig.

Have you considered selling your Proto 2 SD70 ACe and buying one in Proto 3? Proto 3 gives you DCC out of the box and a very good sound set. I haven't heard a Lok Sound SD70 but it would be hard to beat the MTH sound for the ACe.

You might consider ordering a -2 version of a Proto3 MTH locomotive in another road name and doing a shell swap if you don't want to wait for a rerun of your favorite road name.
With only 5 US Class 1s there are only so many versions the manufacturers can make before they have to rerun a road name. At least that was true until the heritage paint schemes came along!
You could ask around your local hobby shop. They may have someone doing them. There are a lot of local guys who do HO and N scale conversions. they would find the space inside an O scale loco a dream to work in.
You might have to give them some information on disassembly, since it may be much different than HO models.
