I have a set of Williams Passenger cars I plan to rework into an ATSF MOW train. Since I'm going through the work of cutting up a couple of them and painting/lettering all of them, I figured I might as well 2-rail/Kadee them as well. Anyone know what wheel sets I should use since NWSL doesn't have them listed? I was planning on using 36" Code 172 wheels.

Thanks.

All Nation used to be a source, but from what I have seen they are now only selling the parts.  Beware of that; it is extremely difficult to press wheels on axles without getting wobble..

All Nation does list assembled wheelsets of various sizes as well as various types of trucks; they also sell a 2 rail wheelset press.

I'm not sure if they will make them again and right now they are out of stock again, but MTH sells 2 rail heavyweight trucks that I used on both Lionel and Williams cars.  They were $30 a pair and much easier than trying to remove and press on the new wheels.  They also had pick ups on 4 of the 6 wheels on each truck.  Hopefully they run them again in the new company.

Hi, I think I'm missing something here. I was at NW Shortline's site the other day and they had 36"/172 listed for various manufacturers and "other" but not a photo. I'm looking to get 36"/145 flush ends, but was holding off for a month to get around the busy shipping time. I'm guessing that if there is not a photo along with the specs list at that site then the item is not available? That is most of the items and seems like a waste of space.
