So there are 2 of these things that hold the mount to the motor. Does anyone know what size this screw is. Im pretty sure it’s metric. Let’s just say one is missing and not require a back story. I was gonna take it to the small parts bins at ace hardware tomorrow and eye them up but if anyone knows that would be a great head start. Parts diagram just calls out the “motor assembly” with no breakdown. Thanks in advance!

Some auto parts stores have a fixture board with graduated sizes of nuts (to test screws) and a set of threaded shafts (to test the nuts). Usually there is an English board and a metric board.

Ace's stainless steel metric machine screw bin ought to have one that will work. It's either in the M2.5 or the M3 bin.
Assuming it screws into a Mabuchi RS 385 motor which virtually Williams diesels use, its a M2.5 x .45 pitch screw.

ace didnt have any short enough and my screw cutter doesnt go that small. Frank at Timko is sending along some new screws one for the motor and some for "stock" great service!!!!

In the future, had you bought some long screws plus a few nuts you could have used a Dremel cutoff wheel or a bench grinder to shorten screws after placing a few nuts on the screws to protect the threads. I just did this yesterday on some 3mm screws for my current build.

I use a Vaco #1963 for SAE screws and a Pro's Kit SPK-CT009 for metric screws. Both cut the screw cleanly and I normally don't need any "touchup" to use them. When I buy screws of a given size, I buy the long ones for stock as I can cut them to length as I need them.
