This was cataloged when Lionel changed their SKU system at the end of last year, so it does conform to the old 6-##### format.
The model number is 1931720.
Thanks Nick! Will now look for the catalog it was in.

HW posted that sure it is, and HAS been done. What HW said is absolutely true.
........What's not to like, here? I think we all agree, now.
Well, I don't agree, because it's apples and oranges to compare what 3rd Rail does in brass in very expensive engines and what Lionel does in diecast. 3rd Rail 2-10-4s run $1900. The Lionel runs $1350 street, $550 less than 3rd Rail. Doing many different diecast variations of a given steam engine costs a lot with diecast. In fact, it's not realistic (as in practical) for Lionel or anyone else to tool up multiple unique engines in diecast. So no, that HAS NOT been done.
Personally, I think Bob's model looks great. Other than the variation in the domes on top of the boiler, and most people won't know the difference, I think it's a reasonable facsimile of a CB&Q 2-10-4 for 3 rail operators.
I think that the model looks great.
Nearly everyone in the 3-rail hobby has some locomotive or other piece of equipment that has a fantasy paint scheme. My favorite fantasy scheme is the SP cab forward painted in Daylight colors. Most of my SP friends cringe when they see one of these models. I wish that I had one.

You can dress up a PRR 2-10-4, but you can't make it a CB&Q engine, especially for the price.
Seems to me that Lionel could have executed a brass - hybrid model that would have been truer to prototype.
Bob thanks for posting. I like the engine. Don’t understand why people want to express the negative Nellie viewpoints. Sure, other manufacturers have made the engine, some more accurate for more money, probably some for less that don’t look this nice.
You like the engine . That is what matters.
I too would like to see a video.

Probably........for a whole lot more money.
OK...after a dozen or so alerts on this thread...and obviously Bob doesn't seem to want to respond because of the negative comments about his locomotive, I think we have enough of the "observations" about the model...pros and cons..... I am tired of spending my family Sunday evening addressing the alerts...so...topic closed.
