"HONGZ" stands for HO scale, N scale, G scale, and Z scale.

Post your non-O scale stuff here!

As I am both O and HO addicted, I'm always on the lookout for anything N&W passenger and stumbled across an old Bachmann 6 car set on epay for 185 bucks.  When I checked the history, just in this year, the same NOS, NIB similar N&W sets sold from between 90 and 250, that is a wide range of prices.   Guess the guy that got them for 90 is happy.   I think Rivarossi made them and Bachmann rebranded them.  I did pass on this deal though,  maybe another $90 BIN will show up.

I picked up at least 20 HO N&W passenger cars of which 8 were Rivarossi and the balance were Eastern Car Works Kits at a local TCA Desert Division Auction.  Being predominantly a pre and post war O club, I am almost embarrassed to say I got them all for around $25.  Sometimes it definitely pays to be the oddball in my club!

To your topic though, it pays to know what these cars retailed for originally and what your price tolerance is.  Train prices vary hugely regardless of gauge. I see items on my regular searches on that silly site that have been sitting for years at prices that are just not justified and the market speaks.  They will continue to sit while more fairly priced items will sell.
