Hello,
I'm powering my MTH Realtrax double loop with a Z4000 into a WTIU splitting the power from the Track 1 and Track 2 outputs to the two fixed channels on the WTIU. I'm hoping I can power each loop separately, but the when I turn on one handle or the other, it sends power to both fixed outputs.
Thinking maybe it has something to do with output assignment?
NO- Let's be 100% clear on this. Each channel through the WTIU or TIU is isolated. You could NEVER put power in one channel and have it come out another- that is absolutely not connected internally that way and never a setting.
It's YOUR TRACK that is connecting the 2 channels.
If you are using Fastrack switches- there is a 1 3/8 in isolation piece at the ends of the Fastrack switches. You only remove the jumper on 1, not both, at the junction. Again, removing this wire on the short pieces removes the connection of the center rail- thus causing an isolation joint.

If using other switches and track system- you have to use their plastic insulator pin or rail joiner for that system.
