Hello Friends,
I recently purchased two DZ 1050 three color z stuff signals. I can't seem to daisy chain them on my layout when wired more that a few feet apart. When 3 or four feet apart they work fine, but when placed twenty feet apart I get all sorts of strange results. Even when I hook up a length of wire (not attached to to the second signal)to the yellow wire the signal goes haywire. Anyone have any suggestions or experiences?

I second that. Had a vendor call him at home for me from Allentown this past weekend to answer a question. Response was spot on.
Sounds like an electrical noise issue. By analogy to digital DC circuits, you might try a pull-up or pull-down resistor.
See what happens if you add a connection, via a 10k resistor, to the signal power supply (red wire). Or if that doesn't work, a connection via a 10k resistor to common (black wire).
