Hi, I just put together a ZW transformer picked up at a garage sale. (all apart). Replaced rollers and chord. It works well except for right side BC handle only moves about an inch. Can not see anything blocking that arm with roller. What did I do wrong? Thanks, Art

Just guessing based on what you are saying, but when all the handles are returned to the off position do they match the same position as the corresponding handle on the opposite side. My money is on one of handles is out of alignment with the metal plates the have the stops for the handle movement.
No,the handle does not match the other side. Is there a picture of these metal plates that have stops for handle movement? Thanks for your help. Art
There is a pin that holds the A or D contact assembly on the shaft. That pin should be centered in the shaft. Is the pin installed properly?

Here is a link to the handle assembly. I'm assuming that because you say it is the "BC" handle I think you have what Lionel calls the groove pin and the marker dial incorrect.
David - yes - pin there and centered at end of the shaft.
Conrail - question - When I pull off the bigger handle (AU) I should see the top the grove pin in bottom slot ? The other end of grove pin has a grove that fits on the contact tab. Right ?

To me the marker dial is on backwards. How do I get that piece off to try to turn it around? It's just not pulling off !
The marker dial has a snap ring that holds it on. I don't think removing the snap ring will give you enough movement to turn it. Yours just needs rotated. You will probably have to take the pin back out of the shaft at the roller arms and then slide the marker dial and shaft out a little and turn the marker dial the correct direction, there should be a bushing between the marker dial and the B handle. Check to verify that is there, and reinstall the spring contact tab and arm. Then reinstall the retainer pin. Before snapping the A handle back on make sure the b handle will rotate and watch the roller arms to make sure they aren't binding.
It looks to me from the 2 different pictures that it's possibly the left on the right side judging by where the oval and pin are located
