Hello fellow forumites
Its that time of year again Everybody is getting the train itch ( although it seems I never lose it ) We of the NJ Hirailer Persuasion are now planning our fourth annual Trainstock extravaganza in beautiful ( and now dry ) Paterson NJ. For those who haven't attended one yet this is a party for all of the OGR forum family at our club. Everyone is welcome including your friends, family and cohorts.
We will be holding this event on Saturday January 14 from 10 am until whenever you feel like staying. This is only for forum members so just about everybody that comes is a train person and everybody that comes has fun. You can also bring your trains to run on our layout. If you aren't familiar with us you can take a look at our pics, videos and webcams at www.njhirailers.com.
We have many new items this year and you might not recognize the club with all the changes made.
Chef Vinny will be cooking up a storm with some of his favorites which rival my mothers cooking. He hasn't done the menu yet but I am sure it will include his famous eggplant parmigiana.
There will be one unfortunate change this year however. Since the past Trainstocks were paid out of club members funds it is harder this year to do so. We wil be forced to charge $5.00 per adult to cover the cost of the food. We tried to leave this as a free event but really can't do it in these tough times. I believe you couldn't get a better meal for that price anywhere.

Please email me at the special email address I set up Trainstock4@yahoo.com to let me know if you are coming

I'll be there along with Jim M Sr & Steve Tapper. Also, our new O gauge club, the MD O Gaugers is planning on making this a happening, so we'll either have a whole bunch of people crammed into one van or a convoy coming up I95. Either way, the State of Maryland, from Reisterstown to Greensboro, on the Eastern Shore, will be well represented. Smile
Thanks for posting the date Ben. We hope to bring a couple of car loads from the Maine 3 Railers this year. I have talked you up a great deal and everyone is looking forward to seeing your outstanding work. In terms of distance, what's a six hour drive among train friends. However we are toying with taking the train out of South Station.
