The 600E was made by Liberty Lines, i.e., Harlen Creswell, in Seattle WA.  He also manufactured a huge Milwaukee Road BiPolar that was about the size of MTH's/LCT's Brute but had more motors on more axles giving it greater pulling power than the Brute.

Yes!  And a really cool feature of the Liberty Lines bipolar is that it has operating pantographs, which at the flick of a switch allow it to receive electrical power either via rollers on the center rail of Standard Gauge track or via its pantographs and an overhead cantenary system.

I would post a picture of my Liberty Lines Bipolar but I haven't been able to get the forum's picture attachment system to work on my computer today.
